Beginning September 14th, 2019, your bank may require additional authentication of your credit card when making payments on Capdesk. This extra security check by various banks has been introduced to comply with an EU payments regulation requiring banks to sometimes perform customer transaction authentication through identity verification.

We work on minimising the impact of this process on your Capdesk payment experience. However, ultimately it is your bank that determines what payments will be selected for additional verification.  We will make sure to let you know by email whenever you have payments pending because of incomplete authentication checks, and make it as easy as possible for you to complete the authentication.


As a Capdesk administrator, you will also see a “You need to authenticate a payment” message within the application whenever payments require authentication.



We strongly recommend that you reach out to your bank to confirm your contact information is up to date, so that any necessary verification messages from your bank can be delivered smoothly.
