London, 8 January 2021 – Thanks to our customers, Capdesk has made a £1000 donation to homelessness charity Beam.
In what was been a challenging year for all but a devastating year for some, the work of charities has been essential. And yet, most charitable organisations have seen a downturn in donations.
In December we asked our customers which charity should receive a £1000 Christmas donation from Capdesk. The votes were counted and gave us a clear winner: homelessness social enterprise Beam.
Beam is a crowdfunding platform that tackles homelessness in London, giving homeless people the training, support and network required to transform their lives. Winter is an especially devastating time of year for homeless people and with more of us staying at home, those left on the streets are suffering.
The donation will be used to sponsor a number of homeless people in London, funding their skills training and supporting them into sustainable long-term work.
